Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy is now a little easier. INL researcher Sascha Sadewasser is co-editor of the first book Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy, together with Thilo Glatzel, from Basel University. The book, recently published by Springer, presents the first monograph on the Kelvin probe force microscopy method. Four chapters are dedicated to a detailed introduction in the KPFM method and experimental techniques, followed by eight chapters presenting the wide range of applications of this technique to semiconductors, molecular and organic materials, and devices. This includes experimental as well as theoretically treatment and a chapter devoted to the recent field of atomic-resolution KPFM. «The book presents an excellent introduction for newcomers to the field, and will also serve as a valuable resource for experts» says Sascha Sadewasser, leader of the research group «LaNaSC - Laboratory for Nanostructured Solar Cells» at INL.
