Since April 2017, Miguel Franco is working on the development of large-scale printing of novel photovoltaics based on Cu(In, Ga)Se2 chalcopyrite. His main tasks consist in printing and characterization of solar cells produced in this project.
Miguel has a MSc in Microelectronics and Nanotechnology Engineer from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. His master thesis consisted on the development of resistive random access memory on paper substrate using screen-printed Zinc Oxide nanoparticles as active layer between screen-printed carbon top contact and E-beam Platinum bottom contact. Also in his undergraduate research opportunity program, he synthesized Zinc Oxide nanostructures through sonochemical method.
