In July 2016, Dr. Sitaramanjaneya Mouli Thalluri started as a Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Lifeng Liu, working on electrocatalysis and photo-electrocatalysis for water splitting. Mouli Thalluri, holds PhD in Chemical Engineering (Dec, 2014) from Politecnico di Torino, Italy and Masters in Nanotechnology (Nov-2010) from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. His research interests include mainly in the field of Energy conversion. In the course of his Masters he worked on Photovoltaics, Sensors and Antimicrobial peptide mediated nanoparticles. During his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Nunzio Russo, he worked on visible light photocatalyst synthesis and their applications in water oxidation and volatile organic compound degradation. During Post PhD experience from Jan 2015 to Dec 2105 at POLITO, he worked on prototype design, assembly and testing for photo-electrochemical water splitting studies. As an Intern student during his masters (4 months) he worked on photovoltaics and sensors from Institute of Intelligent Machines, Hefei, China. During PhD as an exchange student, he worked on Double Magnetron Sputtering (6 months) for the synthesis of thin films from UNAM, Mexico under the supervision of Dr. Sandra E. Rodil.
