Nanoelectronics Si nanowire arrays for photocatalytic water splitting

The project aims to develop efficient, low-cost and durable photocathodes for water reduction (solar H2 evolution) and photoanodes for water oxidation (solar O2 evolution). The research will be focused on developing robust nanowire arrays decorated with non-precious earth-abundant HER or OER catalysts. Optimized surface protection strategy will be employed to improve the operation lifetime of the photoelectrodes.
