Advisory Boards

At the heart of INL’s mission to advance science and technology are two key advisory bodies: the Administration Advisory Board (AAB) and the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). Together, they play a pivotal role in guiding the laboratory’s journey toward excellence by offering valuable insights into the unique contributions, interdependencies, and growth opportunities across INL.

The Administration Advisory Board (AAB) supports the Director-General by providing independent recommendations on INL’s administrative framework, policies, and strategic operations. Its guidance strengthens the laboratory’s foundations, ensuring operational efficiency and enabling INL to effectively fulfil its mission.

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) focuses on the quality, originality, and strategic direction of the research and engineering activities conducted at INL. By offering independent advice, the SAB is instrumental in driving scientific and technological excellence, contributing to the laboratory’s success in achieving its vision.

Together, these advisory boards provide indispensable support, ensuring INL continues to thrive as a global leader in science and innovation.
