Angélica Thomere
PostDoc
Angélica Thomere is a Fellow Researcher of the Laboratory for Nanostructured Solar Cells led by Sascha Sadewasser. She is mostly working on the MSCA-funded MISTiCal project for the development of micro-structured semi-transparent CIGS solar cells.
Angélica Thomere is a doctor at the University of Nantes (France). After obtaining her master's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris, France) with a specialization in the Science of Materials, she started an industrial thesis with EDF (Électricité de France) in collaboration with IMN (Institut des Matériaux Jean Rouxel, Nantes, France) in the framework of a project of IPVF (Institut Photovoltaïque d'Île-de-France, Palaiseau, France) on Si/CIGS tandem solar cells. From 2020 to 2022, Dr Thomere worked as a PostDoctoral researcher in the Solar Energy Materials and Systems (SEMS) group led by Prof. Alejandro Pérez Rodríguez at the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research Institute (IREC). She was working in the development of thin-film solar cells based on kesterite (CZTS) and chalcopyrite (CIGS) semiconductors, with a focus on wide bandgap alloys, which nowadays constitute the most promising materials for advanced photovoltaic applications.
