João Barros is part of INL's Legal Service Unit. His main areas of work include IP legal related issues, corporate, commercial and contract law. He is passionate about finding solutions that do not seem obvious and also to build bridges of understanding between different persons.

João holds a Bachelors Degree in Law and a Masters Degree in both Contracts and Companies Law and in Law and Business Management. He is currently a PhD candidate and a former funded researcher at FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. He worked for several years as a lawyer and before coming to INL was an Assistant Lecturer at Universidade do Minho.
