Soraia Fernandes
Fellow
Soraia joined INL as a Research Fellow in the Nanochemistry Research Group. She is currently working on the development of novel technologies to capture and storage CO2. Soraia holds a Master degree in Medicinal Chemistry (2015) by the University of Minho and a PhD (2022) in Chemistry granted by the University of Aveiro. During her PhD she focused on the synthesis of 2D Covalent Organic Frameworks (2D COFs) with demonstrated high efficiency for the capture of hazardous compounds from water, highlighting their potential for water purification and monitoring.
