Diogo Poeta is a Junior Research Fellow at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) Braga, Portugal (2022-Now). He works within the Medical Devices group, and his research focuses on nanotechnology for environmental gas monitoring in school environments. At INL, he designs a functional gas sensor prototype based on photoionization technology.

Diogo holds a BSc degree in Bioengineering (2016-2019, University of Beira Interior) and a Masters in Micro and Nano Technologies (2019-2022, University of Minho). He is particularly interested in photonics and plasmonics phenomena, thin-film deposition techniques and 2D material characterization.
