Jorge Pereira

Research Engineer
Integrated Micro and Nanotechnologies

Jorge Pereira is a research engineer at the Integrated Micro and Nanotechnologies (IMiNa) research group in INL. His job entails the development of novel experimental approaches by providing technical and practical expertise focusing on MEMS.

He has an MSc in Bioengineering and Nanosystems from IST with interdisciplinary knowledge and practical experience in areas such as biotechnology, electronics and materials. During his master thesis developed at INESC MN, he worked on developing and implementing 3D packaging solutions converging on TSVs (Through Silicon Vias).

Before joining INL, Jorge worked at INESC MN as a junior researcher responsible for multi-level integration microfabrication development addressing process optimizations and efficiency gains.

His main expertise is microfabrication, honed in various projects, ranging from 3D packaging solutions to microfluidics.
