José Fernandes recently joined INL as a Cleanroom Research Engineer in the Micro- and Nanofabrication Department. Among his various responsibilities, José will focus is abilities in Electrodeposition processes and wet processes.

José, is a Biomedical Engineer, completed with a Masters specialized in Medical Electronics, with a spectrophotometry device for blood typing. Due to his ongoing interest in micro and nanotechnologies, José started is PhD in University of Minho in the MEMS group, developing the microfabrication processes in collaboration with INL which is focused on the fabrication of 3D self-folding structures on top of silicon wafers.
