Kamya Yekeh Yazdandoost

Kamya Yekeh Yazdandoost joined Technology Engineering Group of INL in October 2020. His focus will be on antenna design, RF and electromagnetic wave, and wireless communications. He is also an adjunct professor in the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), department of communications engineering, university of Oulu, Finland.

Dr Yazdandoost was a senior researcher at National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan (2003-2016), Finland Distinguished Professor Programme (FiDiPro) fellow, in the CWC, University of Oulu, Finland (2010-2015), and a fellow at the department of electrical engineering and automation, Aalto University, Finland (2017-2020). He is a senior member of the IEEE and life member of the IEEE microwave theory and techniques society. He was the IEEE chair in the committee for channel modeling of Body Area Network standardization and co-editor of the channel modeling documents. He has a PhD in electronic science from the University of Pune, India and has done his post-doctoral research at the Department of Micro-Nano system engineering, Nagoya University, Japan. Dr Yazdandoost is a co-author of the book Wireless Body Area Network and contributed to more than 160 refereed journal and conference papers, technical documents, and book chapters. He is holding 7 patents and also the recipient of the “Extra Ordinary Achievements Medal” from NICT.
