Nivedita Chatterjee is a staff researcher at the Nanosafety group, and her research is focused on the mechanism-based toxicity assessment of nanomaterials with a special emphasis on the development and incorporation of genetic and epigenetic approaches.

Nivedita has a background in environmental sciences, hold an MSc from the University of Calcutta, India and a PhD from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), China. Nivedita has broad international working experiences and held research positions in China, Korea, Japan and France. In particular, she gained in-depth expertise in nanotoxicology and nanosafety research during her tenure at the University of Seoul in Korea. Along with her research career, Nivedita won several funding (NRF, Korea and 100 talent program, China), research awards and recognitions. She has authored 35 peer-reviewed articles and presented in several international conferences.
