Microfabrication and Exploratory Nanotechnology
Pedro Matos is currently a Research Fellow within the Micro and Nanofabrication (Microfabrication and Exploratory Nanotechnology Research Group) at INL. His research is focused on the development of new sensor solutions that go from the design, modelling and fabrication of the MEMS sensor element to the instrumentation and control electronics, both at the discrete and integrated level.
He obtained his master degree in the embedded systems research field, focusing on RTL design for SoC architectures deployed on FPGAs at the University of Minho. Before joining INL, on the last four years, he worked on the industry at the Synopsys Company where he developed his RTL design techniques for ASIC technology. During his master degree, he also collaborated as a researcher on projects for the automotive industry on a partnership between the University of Minho and Bosch.
