Sara Azinheiro

Food Quality and Safety
Sarah is a Research Assistant and she works at INL on the development of detection methods for pathogenic microorganisms and allergens in food samples. She has been working in alternative DNA extraction and amplification techniques, and the use of specific antibodies.
Sarah holds a degree in Biology from University of Évora and a Master in Applied Biotechnology from Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. Her background is focuses in genetic and molecular biology research in different areas, taking part of several research groups in ICAAM, GIRM, IGC and CIBIO.
