Victor Calero
Research Fellow
Food Processing and Nutrition
Victor is a research fellow in the Food Processing and Nutrition Group. His research focuses on developing a microfluidic-based platform to mimic the gastrointestinal tract as a tool to assess the safety, bioaccessibility and bioavailability of nanoparticles present in food.
Victor obtained his PhD from the University of Southampton (United Kingdom) in 2021. During his PhD studies, his research consisted in the design and characterisation of microfluidic devices combined with electrokinetic particle manipulation for the separation of micro- and nano-particles.
