The HUB IBERIA AGROTECH – HIBA, joins the European Commission in the celebrations of the European Cooperation Day.

INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory is part of the newly created consortium – The HUB IBERIA AGROTECH – HIBA, which is based on the cross-border cooperation between Portugal and Spain, and aims to promote the entrepreneurial spirit, facilitate the economic use of ideas, and boost the creation of companies in the agri-food production sector of the region.

HIBA joined the European Commission in the celebrations of the European Cooperation Day, also known as “EC Day” on 21 September. This unique event happens every year and the European Union (EU) aims to encourage cooperation in different ways. One of them is through cooperation programmes, which allocate more than 10 billion euros for the regions to work together on common challenges: climate adaptation, social inclusion, migration, among others.

The “European Cooperation Day” reminded citizens that many good things come out when we join forces. On this day, people cycled together, sang together, ate together, and in general had a wonderful time in each other’s company in hundreds of events organised by EU cooperation programmes in over 30 countries.
