Guilherme Araújo is a Research Assistant at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), working within the Salomé Research Group. His current research focuses on the development and characterisation of thin-film batteries as part of the large-scale European initiative “New Generation Storage”.

He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Minho, with a specialisation in Devices, Microsystems, and Nanotechnologies. During his MSc thesis at INL, he worked on the synthesis and interface engineering of MoSe₂-based devices, gaining solid experimental experience in 2D materials, cleanroom processes, and materials characterisation techniques such as Raman spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy (AFM).
