Ana C. Martins
Project Management Officer
I have been a Project Management Officer at INL’s Business and Strategic Relations Unit since December 2025. I currently support the implementation and coordination of the Norte em Movimento project, ensuring objectives, milestones, and KPIs are achieved. My responsibilities include project management (technical and financial monitoring, reporting, and audits), developing communication and dissemination strategies, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and contributing to evaluation frameworks for strategic partnerships.
Previously, I served as a Project and Stakeholder Engagement Assistant at INL (2024–2025), where I worked on projects such as FORGING, SpinCat, and MemCat. I also bring experience as a cultural producer at Porto City Council, communication and events officer at the Centre for Biological Engineering (University of Minho), and science communication manager at Instituto de Telecomunicações, where I led dissemination and exploitation activities for the Portuguese Quantum Infrastructure project.
I hold a PhD in Sociology from the University of Porto, with the thesis “Sex, drugs & rock’n’roll: A Journey with Stops through Contemporary Portuguese Society (1960–2015)”. I also hold a Master’s degree in Communication, Arts, and Culture, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences, both from the University of Minho. I was the lead researcher for the project “Casa Comum do Rock” in partnership with the Institute of Sociology and the Rectory of the University of Porto.
In my free time, I enjoy music, literature, cooking, and travelling. I am a museum enthusiast and a proud cat owner.
