Business and Strategic Relations

Ana Martins has been a Project and Stakeholder Engagement Assistant at INL’s Business and Strategic Relations Unit since December 2024. She is mainly focused on EU-funded FORGING project activities.

During 2023 she was a science communication manager at Instituto de Telecomunicações, leading the Portuguese Quantum Infrastructure project's communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities plan. In 2024, she was a communication and events officer at the Center of Biologic Engineering at the University of Minho.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and a Master’s in Communication, Arts, and Culture from the University of Minho. During her master’s project, she developed the following dissertation: “Rock in Portugal: Repercussions of the musical genre on Portuguese youth (1960-2014). She also holds a PhD in Sociology from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto with the thesis: “Sex, drugs & rock’n’roll: A Journey with Stops through Contemporary Portuguese society (1960-2015)”. She was the main researcher in the project: "Casa Comum do Rock" in partnership with the Institute of Sociology and the Rectory of the University of Porto.
