Ana Beatriz Fernandes is a research assistant in the Nanosafety Research Group, where she studies the effects of nanoparticles on a complex in vitro lung model.
Ana Beatriz obtained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences in 2022 from the University of Beira Interior. In 2024, she completed her MSc in Analytical, Clinical and Forensic Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. Her Master's dissertation was carried out in collaboration with the Nanosafety Research Group at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory. During this time, she gained both theoretical and practical experience in cell culture, advanced models, cytotoxicity and cell viability assays, and fluorescence microscopy.
