João Marques is a Research Fellow at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), working within the Nanofabrication, Optoelectronics and Energy Applications (NOA) group. He is currently contributing to the Alliance for Energy Transition (ATE) project, where he focuses on the development of a sensor for monitoring soiling in photovoltaic systems.

He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico. During his studies, he interned and carried out his thesis work at the Group of Lasers and Plasmas (GoLP), where he designed and implemented optical setups for laser-based experiments.
