Dr Navya is a Postdoctoral  Researcher in the Muñoz Group (Nanomaterials for Energy Storage and Conversion, NESC) at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL). Her current research work focuses on the development of high surface-area current collectors for Li/Na batteries.

She obtained her PhD from the Central University of Tamil Nadu, India, under the supervision of Dr Srinivasan Sampath. Her doctoral work centred on the design and synthesis of tetrabenzofluorene-based electrochromic smart molecules for energy-saving applications. She has extensive expertise in organic synthesis, photophysical characterisation, spectroelectrochemical and electrochemical techniques, as well as the fabrication of electrochromic smart devices.
