Pedro Santos Sousa

Fellow

Nanostructured Solar Cells

As a newly appointed research fellow in the Laboratory of Nanostructured Solar Cells at INL, Pedro's primary focus is on the fabrication and characterization of flexible Cu(In,Ga)Se2 thin-film solar cells.

Pedro completed his MSc in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering at NOVA School of Science and Technology. During his studies, he gained knowledge and practical experience in various areas, including micro and nanofabrication techniques, materials science, and renewable energy technologies. His master's thesis, performed at INL, focused on the implementation of hydrogen-doped indium oxide as a transparent conductive oxide in CIGS thin film solar cells for bifacial and tandem applications.
