Samishta Choudhary
Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr. Samishta Choudhary (Sammy) is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nanostructured Materials Research Group at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), Braga, Portugal. She focuses on the synthesis and advanced TEM/STEM characterisation of sodium-ion-based electrode materials for next-generation battery applications, conducted within the scope of the New Generation Storage Agenda, funded by the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
She holds a PhD in Nanotechnology, with research focused on the growth, characterisation, and fabrication of InAs/InGaAs quantum dots on GaAs substrates using Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) for Optoelectronic Device applications. Her work incorporated a broad range of material characterization techniques including Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Cross/sectional sample prepration (Using PIPS and FIB Lamella prepration), Photoluminescence (PL), Photoluminescence Excitation (PLE), and X-ray Diffraction (XRD), as well as device fabrication using Lithography and optical/electrical characterization. She also brings over four years of hands-on experience working in cleanroom environments, contributing to both materials growth and device fabrication processes.
Dr. Choudhary has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and actively participates in national and international conferences in the fields of optoelectronic devices, nanomaterials, and electron microscopy.
