Maurya Sandeep Pradeepkumar is currently a Research Fellow (Postdoc) in Nanostructure Materials group at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), Braga, Portugal, under the supervision of Dr. Leonard Francis. His primary areas of study are thin film deposition, photovoltaic materials, battery materials, device fabrication and their characterization utilizing advanced electron microscopy.
Sandeep completed his doctorate at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, under the guidance of professors Imteyaz Ahmad and Joysurya Basu, with the thesis title "Solution processing of Cu(InxGa1-x)(S,Se)2 absorber layers for thin film solar cells". And master’s degree in Material Science from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India. He worked as research trainee in Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bangalore, India for 11 months under guidance of Dr. Arjun dey. Prior to joining INL, he had an 18-month experience as postdoc under Prof. Sudakar Chandran at MFNL group, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India.
