Embedded Systems Engineer at INL, where his main responsibilities include developing real-time embedded firmware and integrating microcontroller-based platforms for nanotechnology research. His work covers microcontroller-based system design, sensor integration, and implementation of communication protocols, supporting multidisciplinary research and prototyping efforts. He has experience across multiple MCU families, including RP2040, Microchip, ST, and Renesas, with a focus on reliability, performance, and low-level hardware control.

He holds a Master’s degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. Before joining INL, he worked with both early-stage startups and large international companies, developing IoT systems, AI-enabled edge devices, and smart city technologies. His work bridges applied research and product development, with a strong focus on embedded systems, energy management, and hardware-software integration.
