Ombudsperson at INL

Supporting a Fair and Inclusive Research Environment

At the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), we are committed to fostering a respectful, fair, and inclusive working and research environment. As part of this commitment, we are pleased to introduce Dr Cyril Laucci as our Ombudsperson.

The Ombudsperson is an independent, neutral, and confidential resource available to all members of the INL community. This role is designed to promote fairness, transparency, and accountability across the organisation by offering informal support in resolving concerns, mediating disputes, and advising on issues related to equity, inclusion, and organisational culture.

Importantly, the Ombudsperson does not represent INL or individual staff members. Instead, the Ombudsperson acts as an impartial facilitator, encouraging open dialogue and helping to informally resolve conflicts or systemic challenges before they escalate.

Meet the Ombudsperson: Dr Cyril Laucci

Dr Cyril Laucci brings to INL a distinguished background in human rights, workplace ethics, and international law. He holds a PhD in Law from both Université Aix-Marseille and the University of Geneva. His career includes senior legal roles in major international institutions such as:
