Disruptive agrifood startup born at INL chosen to integrate EIT FAN

FooD’NAssay, a startup created within the INL Food Quality and Safety Research Group was selected among the initial group of 414 startups that applied to the call opened by EIT Food for its Food Accelerator Network (FAN).

The second stage had 120 startups from which 60 were the chosen ones.

FooD’NAssay develops devices to analyze food, particularly foodborne pathogens, in less than one working day.

According to Marta Prado, INL Research Group Leader, and cofounder of FooD’NAssay, “to be selected to become part of the EIT FAN program is an important recognition for our work, and it will help us to accelerate our startup and bring our products to the market”

Launched by EIT Food, the FAN program fosters efforts to identify and support high-impact Agri- and Food-Tech startups, making Europe the go-to innovation hub for this evolving industry.
