II Science Communication Meeting Antena Minho – INL

The INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory together with Antena Minho and in partnership with the Universidade do Minho and the European Researchers’ Night will host the II Meeting ‘Science for All’ Antena Minho – INL on May 26, 2023, between 09:00 and 12:30.

This event aims to create a platform in collaboration with several scientists and science communicators and journalists where science can be communicated to all types of audiences. On May 26 we will count on the presence of:

• Tiago Marques Ramalho, science journalist at Público since 2022, where writes about everything – because everything can be science.

• João Paulo Vieira, executive director of the Centro Ciência Viva de Braga and also president of ORION – Sociedade Científica de Astronomia do Minho;

• Adriana Carneiro, PhD student in Biomedical Sciences at INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory in partnership with ICBAS – Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar of the University of Porto;

• Sara Beatriz, journalist. Sara worked at Renascença, JPN and TSF. He created the radio program on environmental sustainability “Verdes Hábitos”. She is a co-author of the book “Verdes Anos”. In 2022, he took over the editorial direction of Viral Check, the first Portuguese health fact-checking journal.

• Cátia Santos, PhD in Biology and author of the Science Communication page “Help, I am a scientist”.

This workshop is an opportunity for students, the general public and science enthusiasts to learn, network and enhance their knowledge and understanding of science communication.

The event will be held in Portuguese. Registration is free, but mandatory, until May 24th. Join us!
