INL researcher wins award for best thesis

Jose Lado has received the award from the Solid State Physics Group (GEFES) of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics for the best PhD thesis in condensed matter physics presented in Spain during the academic year 2015-16.

His doctoral thesis Topological electronic phases in graphene were developed at INL, within the Marie-Curie ITN SPINOGRAPH, under the supervision of Joaquín Fernandez Rossier (director) and Victor Pardo (tutor).

As a result, José Lado will be an invited speaker in the upcoming symposium organised by GEFES in the Summer 2017.
