Atomic Structure-Composition of Materials

Cinthya Blois is a PhD student in department of metallurgical and materials engineering at COPPE/UFRJ, Brazil in partnership with International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), Portugal in the field of synthesis and characterization of nanostructured photocatalyst based on TiO2, with emphasis on Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Morphology study is developed at INL through TEM tomography, an advanced technique in order to correlate morphology with photocatalysis activity. MSc. in physics (2014) by the Brazilian Center for Physics Research (CBPF). During the master, she worked with growth of thin films by CVD. Pristine graphene produced using methane gas and liquid sources and N-doped graphene using acetonitrile liquid. She characterized these samples by Raman spectroscopy and X-rays photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). BS in Physics at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil (2012).
