Artur Andrishak

Fellow

Ultrafast Bio- and Nanophotonics

Artur Andrishak is a Junior Research Fellow at the Ultrafast Bio- and Nanophotonics group at INL under the supervision of Dr. Jana Nieder. His work entitled "3D femtosecond laser-based manufacturing of smart optical interconnects" aims to develop smart 3D polymer waveguides combining different materials for neuromorphic platforms using femtosecond pulsed laser-based microfabrication. This research is conducted within the framework of the “InsectNeuroNano” project funded by Horizon Europe.

Artur completed his Master's in Physics Enginneering from the University of Minho in 2022, specializing in Devices, Microsystems and Nanotechnologies. He developed his thesis research through an internship at INL on the topic of "3D Optical Interconnect Networks for Neuromorphic Computational Applications" which enabled him to gain extensive experience in 3D micrprinting via two-photon polymerization, optical characterization of waveguides and FDTD photonic simulation.
