Gloria Conte

Fellow

Nanophononics

Gloria Conte joined the Nanophononics group at INL in September 2023 to pursue her research interests in information and communication technology. She works on the MAGNIFIC project, which aims to develop nano-optomechanical systems for 5G and satellite communication applications.

Gloria Conte obtained her MSc in Physics in 2019 from the University of Pisa (Italy) with a thesis about Terahertz Quantum Cascade Lasers. Then, she followed a PhD program in Physics at the University of Pisa, working on phononic and photonic metasurfaces for optomechanical applications. After obtaining her PhD diploma in 2023, she was a Research Assistant at the Institute Catalan of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) in Barcelona for a few months before joining INL.
