Hedieh Mahmoodnia is a research engineer in the Medical Devices Group at International Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL). She received PhD in Electronic engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology (Iran) with a focus on the surface passivation of GaAs to improve the Gas sensing Characteristics of Schottky junctions (2020). She has a background in solid state physics, surface study, MEMs technology, fabrication of Nano devices and gas sensor. She is currently involved in projects focuses on nanotechnology for environmental gas monitoring in school environments. Designing a functional gas sensor prototype based on photoionization technology which is involve fabrication of nano membrane, gas sensing setup using Laser system and Also the readout circuit. Her scientific interests also include surface study, photonics and material characterization.
