Maryam Karimi

Fellow

Atomic Structure - Composition of Materials

Maryam Karimi joined the Atomic Structure-Composition of Materials group of the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory in 2023. Her current research focuses on the development of nanocatalysts for proton exchange membrane electrolyzers and fuel cells as part of her PhD work under the supervision of Dr. Paulo Ferreira.

Maryam has completed her master´s degree at Iran University of Science and Technology in the field of Materials Engineering. Before joining the INL, she was working on the synthesis of nanomaterials and thin film deposition. Her primary research interests are clean hydrogen production and the use of advanced transmission electron microscopy for the characterization of electrocatalysts.
