Mouli Thalluri

Staff Researcher

Kolen'ko Research Group

Dr. Sitaramanjaneya Mouli Thalluri is a Staff Researcher at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in the Kolen'ko Research Group since 2023. His research focuses on atomic layer deposition (ALD), proton exchange membranes, alkaline water electrolysis, and 5 kW electrolyzer test bench systems for clean energy technologies. Previously, as a Research Fellow at INL (2016–2020), he worked on cleanroom nanofabrication, silicon surface texturing, thin-film deposition (ALD, CVD, PVD), and electrocatalyst synthesis under Dr. Lifeng Liu. He has also contributed to workshop activities at INL, including the Herald Summit 2018 and a Solar Fuel Production workshop.

Dr. Thalluri earned his PhD under Prof. Nunzio Russo, focusing on visible-light-driven catalysts for water oxidation and VOC degradation. He also contributed to scaling up BiVO₄ photoanodes for prototype PEC solar fuel devices. From 2021 to 2023, he worked at the University of Pardubice on ALD, small molecule degradation, and electrochemical water splitting. He has published 33 SCI-indexed papers, with 1,900+ citations and an h-index of 19 and he has presented at over 15 international conferences.
