Pablo Thiago Valentim

Fellow

Integrated Micro and Nanotechnologies

Pablo joined the Integrated Micro and Nanotechnologies group in 2020 at INL, where he explores the techniques of plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition techniques to grow thin layers of semiconductor materials onto polymeric substrates and conducts simulations and experiments to characterize the optical properties of such systems.

He holds a PhD in Physics from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil, 2006-2013) and postdoctoral experiences at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil, 2014 and 2016) and the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (Portugal, 2015). His experience in research gathers the study of photonic cavities of AlGaAs/GaAs, silicon nitride, and quantum dots using microphotoluminescence and reflectivity techniques. He also has experience in lithographic processes of micro and nanofabrication of silicon nitride and silicon dioxide optical devices.
