Rajashree Konar
PostDoc
Dr. Rajashree Konar is a research fellow at INL, Braga, Portugal. She studies the degradation behavior of PGM and non-PGM catalysts using advanced electron microscopy in Prof. Paulo Ferreira's group.
Previously, she worked at Bar-Ilan University in Israel as a joint postdoctoral fellow in the groups of Prof. Doron Aurbach and Prof. Gilbert Daniel Nessim (her Ph.D. Supervisor). She worked on stabilizing high-voltage cathodes for Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and synthesizing ultrathin 2D materials. During her Ph.D., she worked on the CVD-based synthesis of 2D TMDCs and their heterostructures. She is skilled in 2D crystallography, gas-sensing, and energy storage applications. She has extensive experience integrating layered materials into innovative devices for miniaturization and electrode coating techniques for LIBs. Dr. Konar has authored around 27 research articles (in many high-impact journals like ACS Energy Letters, Energy Storage Materials, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, etc.) and holds a patent with BASF, Germany. Additionally, she secured several grants during her time at Bar-Ilan University.
