Dr. Sandipan Maiti is a staff researcher at INL—International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, specializing in cathode materials for advanced battery systems. He previously worked as a senior postdoctoral researcher at Bar-Ilan University, Israel, under the tutelage of Prof. Doron Aurbach. His research focuses on developing high-performance cathodes for a range of battery chemistries, including Ni-rich and Li, Mn-rich NCM, high-voltage LNMO spinel, high-voltage LCO cathodes for LIBs, and NFM-type cathodes for SIBs.

His doctoral research at CSIR-CGCRI and Jadavpur University involved the development of energy storage systems for aqueous and non-aqueous applications, such as supercapacitors, non-Li-aqueous batteries, Li-ion batteries, Li-S batteries, and Li-air batteries.
