Susana Costa
PhD Student
Susana P. Costa is a Research Engineer in the Medical Devices Research Group, working on developing a device for bacterial detection and identification in the environment based on volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and photoionization (PID).
Susana holds a Master’s in Bioengineering (2016) and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (2023) from the University of Minho. She has over six years of experience in bacterial detection sensors and has authored various publications. She received three awards during her academic and PhD research and participated in several national and international projects.
