Dr Aritz Retolaza is a Research Engineer at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Braga (2021-now). He works within the Integrated Micro and Nanotechnologies (IMiNa) group, and his research focuses on developing flexible thin-film-based sensors for muscular rehabilitation applications. 

Aritz holds a PhD in Chemistry Science (Polymer Science) from the University of the Basque Country (Spain, 1999-2004). He worked at Tekniker (Eibar, Spain) for 15 years (2005-2020), where he acquired experience in cleanroom technologies, such as photolithography, NIL and electroplating, and characterization techniques, such as SEM and profilometry. Aritz has more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and one patent and has given 8 conference talks.
