The European Strategy for Hydrogen gets its stage next October 28th-29th
September 18, 2020
The Green Deal announced by the European Commission and the need to reduce Europe’s CO2 emissions to at least 55% compared to 1990, calls for immediate alternatives to fossil fuels.
Hydrogen and fuel cell technology are being pointed out as two of them, namely for mobility, which is responsible for a significant share of the emissions causing the so-called greenhouse effect, among other negative consequences for the environment.
The INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, as an intergovernmental scientific research organisation actively involved in being part of the solution, is organising a digital conference to gather major players in this field.
Next 28th and 29th of October, the Hydrogen Summit will gather decision-makers, strategists, researchers, and companies around the table for an action-oriented debate about what each stakeholder must do to decarbonise our energy sources and look confidently into the 2030 goals.
The conference will count on the presence of the Portuguese Minister of Science, Manuel Heitor, the Portuguese Secretary of State of Energy, João Galamba, and representatives from the European Commission, and other major players in the European strategy for making Hydrogen a viable energy source.
