The INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, and the UFRJ – Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, are opening an opportunity for collaborations with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the exchange of scientific and technical knowledge and increase scientific and technological capabilities in the field of materials science and nanotechnology.

Within this new MoU, both institutions will also exchange technical and administrative information, scientific or technical staff, know-how, equipment, materials, funding opportunities, and cooperative research. The activities foreseen will include the organization of bilateral scientific workshops in areas of common interest.

UFRJ is part of PRINT (a Brazilian Institutional Internationalization Program), that funds international missions, projects, doctoral scholarships, and also junior and senior professor internships. The establishment of an MoU between both institutions will allow INL to be a host institution of Ph.D. and Masters students, as well as senior researchers and professors, in the framework of the PRINT Program.
