INL/CESGA Quantum Computing Workshop

Between February 14-15, 2023, INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory hosted a small workshop to discuss possible collaboration possibilities between INL and the Galician Supercomputing Center (CESGA) in the area of quantum computation.

CESGA has the mission to contribute to the advancement of Science and Technical Knowledge, by means of research and application of high-performance computing and communications, as well as other information technologies resources, in collaboration with other institutions, for the profit of society.

During the two days of the event, the INL team welcomed 9 researchers from CESGA, including CESGA’s director Lois Orosa and Applications and Project Department manager Andrés Gomez Tato and it was also possible to hear and learn from both teams – CESGA and members of the Quantum and Linear-Optical Computation (QLOC) research group, and by the Theory of Quantum Nanostructures (TQN) research group.

Many synergies and possibilities of collaboration were identified, in two intense days of discussion.
