INL hosts the SEAFOOD-AGE coordination meeting

November 8, 2021

For two days, Nov 8-9, INL welcomes the consortium of SEAFOOD-AGE for the project’s 6th coordination meeting and the second training session.

The project SEAFOOD-AGE addresses a major socio-economic challenge in the Atlantic Area – an ageing population – by exploring the opportunities of resorting to seafood products as an excellent source of essential nutrients.

The project exploits the maritime dimension of the regions within the Atlantic Area aims at exploiting circular economy concepts to 1) generate ready-to-eat seafood for healthy ageing; 2) produce novel eco-packaging; 3) develop a smart label for better quality, safety and minimize food waste.
